West Cork Secret
For our end of year school tour, we visited the West Cork Secret. What a great day out for the children and teachers! Students had an opportunity to explore the extensive gardens with their group leader who told them about the different species and life cycles of the plants and trees. The juniors fished in the pond looking for and identifying various life forms.
After a snack and drink the children were taught how to navigate various obstacles on the outdoor course. Lots of mud and water involved. The older children were set team activities involving problem solving and supporting one another to be successful in their challenges.
The cafe provided us with much appreciated homemade pizzas from their pizza oven and juice to help satisfy healthy appetites after all that activity!
