Peer Writing
Peer Writing began in our classrooms this month. Each senior room student was partnered up with a student from the junior room. After an initial brainstorming session, the older student typed up a story that the younger student composed. Together they drew an illustration to accompany their story. We can’t wait to laminate, bind and of course read them.
Data Collection
The Senior Room children have been collecting data from the world around them and turning it into creative artwork. The children discovered they could communicate this data working as information designers. They learned that everything can be mapped, counted and measured in a world where algorithms and computation are seen as the keys to universal questions. They created a personal documentary of their data and turned into a beautiful piece of art, capturing a picture of the movements of their lives.
Show and tell
As part of our show and tell in the Junior Room, Jensen showed us his pet bunny rabbits. They were so soft and cute, everyone wanted to take them home.
