We did a variety of art projects in the run up to the festive season at St. Matthias. The children created lovely Christmas tree decorations and honed their gift wrapping skills. The junior rooms wrote letters to Santa and gave them to our postman Kieran. The whole school came together as one and performed a lovely outdoor concert for their proud parents. We decorated the yard as this was our stage this year. We borrowed some percussion instruments from the West Cork Education centre and both the Junior and Senior room used them to accompany their songs. We also had some solo performances from some of our talented musical students. It was a lovely way to conclude a busy first term in Ballydehob.
