We opted to have a day out in Skibbereen this year for our school tour. We enjoyed a very active morning combined with a relaxing pottery session in the afternoon. The Sports centre welcomed us to their hall in the morning. The staff entertained us for a very active 60 mins of dance, exercise, various gymnastics skills and they even had a bouncy castle lined up for us. Then Cycle Sense provided an hour of cycling instruction on the Astro turf surface. The students enjoyed some cycling games with fun activities and challenges. After an ice cream break we walked down to Cré Pottery studio and experienced 90 mins of paint and play there. Everyone painted their own Summ er animal and experimented with clay. We visited the Skibbereen library where we read and played a little while the rain hampered our town walk. When the showers passed we continued our stroll to the playground where we enjoyed some playtime with our friends to round off a most enjoyable local tour day.
