Preparing for Open Day and World Book Day

We held our Open Day this year in February and the whole school worked together to showcase our lovely little school. The Senior room did a great job brushing up the yard and getting rid of all the wet leaves. The Junior room made a lovely “Welcome” poster drawing all the things they lo ve about our school on it. World Book day  was celebrated again through imaginative original costume choices. We made our annual book of illustrated stories and peer reading was enjoyed by all. This year the children were invited to make their own story prop using recycled materials and they loved showcasing them in our Show and Tell lesson. We also started a book swap slot at the school gates to encourage our grà for reading to continue at home
